Freak Out!
Hi all - and how are we? I am trying to distract myself from current freak out status (level high, intensity medium, outcome uncertain) and thought I would write and update you all on what I have been up to for the last couple of days!
I had a great day celebrity spotting a few days ago - the Toronto Film Festival (second biggest in the world) is on at the moment and all the stars are in town. While I have had no luck with finding Vince Vaughn I did manage to see Jason Biggs (American Pie), Mena Suvari (American Beauty), Diane Kruegar (no idea but she seemed to think she was famous) and Ed Harris. It was quite cool really, just loitered out the front of a hotel with about 20 or 30 others and waited to see who came out!
Yesterday I did a city tour and harbour trip which I really enjoyed. The city tour covered most places I had been on foot but gave me a bit of the history while I was looking at it which was cool. The harbour was lovely and I can't wait to go exploring there - hopefully at the weekend with Natalie (a friend of James' I met last week).
This morning Victoria (my hostel roomie) and I went to visit the Shoe Museum. It was absolutely fantastic and I can imagine that a fair few of you dear readers would have loved it as much as me! There were lots of exhibitions of shoes through time and different cultures and different exhibits of famous people's shoes and novelty shoes etc etc - utterly fantastic!
On the boring side (and hence the freak out status) I have learned that I am overqualified for temp work but unable to work in the field for which I am qualified, which creates an interesting quandry, and that I love houses that I go and look at just after being told about the overqualified and am now uncertain how one goes about finding rent on a house without a job... I won't bore you with the details but suffice to say that a Tim Hortons donut has been consumed today...
Right - better get on with job hunting I guess. Hope you are all well - miss you loads!
Hugs,
Clare
